YEARS 7 - 11
Your guide to Senior School
We set ambitious academic standards while nurturing a culture of curiosity, encouragement, and individual growth. Our inclusive yet personalised approach ensures that every pupil is supported to achieve their best — both in and beyond the classroom.
YEAR 7 Pupils begin their Senior School journey with a focus on building strong foundations in key subjects while developing good study habits and time management skills. Emphasis is placed on nurturing curiosity, independence, and a love of learning. |
YEAR 8 As pupils grow in confidence, they are encouraged to explore a wider academic curriculum and engage more deeply in class discussions and collaborative projects. Curiosity is supported through enriched learning experiences, while mentoring continues to build connections across year groups. |
YEAR 9 Pupils begin to make more informed choices about their interests and strengths, helping them prepare for their GCSEs. They are encouraged to think critically, take academic risks and deepen their understanding across all subjects. |
YEAR 10 With GCSEs on the horizon, pupils focus on their chosen subjects. Teachers provide targeted support while encouraging independent thinking and ownership of learning. Peer mentors and subject-specific guidance help pupils refine their study techniques and manage their workload with confidence. |
YEAR 11 In their final Senior School year, pupils are guided through exam preparation and supported in making post-16 choices. They develop resilience, confidence, and the ability to adapt - skills that are vital for future success. |
