HSA has a 'nurturing culture that prioritises pupils’ wellbeing', says ISI Report
Following on from an inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) in May 2026, Halstead St Andrew's School is thrilled to announce the school met all the standards in all areas.
The report highlighted key strengths, particularly the school's nurturing culture, strong pastoral care, excellent academic outcomes, community ethos, broad curriculum, early years provision, and successful senior school destinations.
The report also noted that Halstead St Andrew's provides a "collaborative, nurturing culture", pupils "typically secure places at their senior school of choice, with many receiving scholarships and exhibitions", and that children thrive in a supportive, engaging environment.
Below are some of the highlights from the ISI Report:
“The school’s inclusive ethos is reflected in its effective pastoral support, which ensures that pupils feel valued and included.”
“Leaders foster a collaborative, nurturing culture that prioritises pupils’ wellbeing.”
"The curriculum is age-appropriate, inclusive and underpinned by high aspirations for pupils."
“Children in the early years benefit from engaging activities that nurture their emotional wellbeing.”
“Teachers and teaching assistants create a calm, well-managed environment and maintain positive relationships with pupils, encouring them to contribute and engage with learning confidently.”
Mr Ward commented: "This report captures the very essence of Halstead St Andrew's. It recognises the warmth, ambition and inclusivity that define our school, whilst celebrating the exceptional commitment of our staff and the remarkable character of our pupils. I could not be prouder of our whole community."
