Full uniform must be worn at all times when on the school grounds.
All uniform, kit and equipment for the appropriate term is required in school from the first day of term and should be labelled, including footwear. All children should have a named water bottle in school.

Other information
Sports Kit
All pupils are expected to wear the HSA sports kit which is part of the compulsory uniform.
Hair
Hair should be worn in a neat and manageable style. No hair colouring is permitted. Shoulder-length or longer hair must be tied back, and short hair must not touch the collar or fall below the eyebrows.
No extreme hairstyles are permitted. In accordance with the HALO code, we support culturally significant hairstyles. Hair wraps, scarves and accessories should be a plain dark colour. Please speak to the school if you require more clarification.
Jewellery
The only jewellery pupils are allowed to wear are a traditional wristwatch (no smartwatches) and a pair of small stud earrings. No other jewellery of any kind is permitted unless on medical/religious grounds. Permitted jewellery must be removed for Physical Education lessons - swimming, games, gymnastics or dancing.
Earrings cannot be taped over indefinitely, and it is both a school and IAPS policy that all jewellery must be removed for competitive games. Pupils will not be able to participate in fixtures against any schools whilst wearing any jewellery.

HSA Swap Shop
Our PTA, Friends of Halstead St Andrew’s (FOHSA) run a second-hand uniform shop (known as Swap Shop) on Friday mornings 08:00-09:00 term time. As well as selling second hand uniform, Swap Shop also carries samples of several key pieces of uniform in the full range of sizes so that parents can check sizing before ordering new items from School Blazer.
