Children spend most of their day with their class teacher and teaching assistant, creating a secure and familiar environment where they feel happy, valued and ready to learn. Alongside English, Maths, Science, Humanities, PSHE, RE and Computing, pupils benefit from specialist teaching in French, Spanish, Music, Art, PE, Dance, Forest School and swimming, ensuring a broad and enriching curriculum.
Our small class sizes enable teachers to carefully monitor every child's progress, adapting learning to meet individual needs and celebrating achievements along the way. Building on the strong foundations established in the Early Years, children develop confidence in reading, writing and mathematics while growing into resilient, independent learners.
Learning extends well beyond the classroom through educational visits, hands-on experiences and opportunities to perform in events such as the Christmas production and year group assemblies. These experiences help children develop confidence, creativity and a strong sense of belonging within our school community.

The transition from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 is carefully planned and thoughtfully supported. By the end of Year 2, children leave with the confidence, independence and strong academic foundations they need to embrace the opportunities and challenges of the next stage of their education.
